Dentures Implants

If you’re concerned or have had problems in the past keeping your dentures in place, dentures secured with dental implants is something to consider.

A dental implant is a metal fixture inserted to replace the tooth’s root and serve as a permanent anchor for artificial teeth. Implants for dentures use two to four of these fixtures to secure an entire upper or lower denture into place.

Unlike regular dentures, implant retained dentures are never removed by the wearer. They are flossed and brushed just like natural teeth.

Dental implant dentures are recommended more frequently for lower dentures which are often more difficult to stabilize and keep securely in place. You may however, wish to use implants to secure both the lower and upper dentures for a worry free solution.

While dentures over implants require the same routine checking, occasional adjustment, and replacement after about five years as other dentures, they are otherwise the closest thing in look and feel to natural teeth.
